Fluval EVO 13.5 (Thriving Budget Tank)

I want to share my short experience with my first attempt in saltwater reef keeping. I have the Fluval EVO 13.5, the only modification has been with the filtration. I upgraded the stock filter to the InTank media basket.

That is absolutely awesome!

I also have a Fluval 13.5 and I was surprised how good it is. I had never done a smaller tank before and it works so well and is so easy to maintain. I had been fearful of nano's before I did it. It's really no big deal. It's quite nice.

I also really like the aesthetics of the tank. Fluval does a good job making good looking tanks!

I also replaced the stock filter with the inTank media basket. Really, I was doing fine with the stock filter, but in other tanks I've had those sponge filters can be nitrate traps, so I felt better swapping it out. I ran it for months just stock out of the box, though, and it was fine.

Anyway, you've done really cool stuff with it. Way more than me, actually, although I may end up setting mine up as a nemo tank at some point so it would look something like yours (I hope).
