Finger Leather Orientation

We picked up a nice finger leather this weekend and have it in the tank, but where we wanted to put it the rocks would only fit together a certain way, and the finger leather is slightly sideways (not quite at a 45 degree angle). It hasn't fully extended yet, but I know they 'pout' when first introduced into a tank. Do they need to be fully upright?
Thanks!

No. It will gradually grow to face the light. Give it some time and you should be fine. They do like a bit of flow though so keep that in mind. Also run some carbon in case it slimes.

I've moved mine around quite a bit and no matter which direction the "stalk" is pointing at the whole body always winds up rotating to face the brightest part of the light.
