electric shock

Jeeve,
I have read so many threads on this, and how a GFI works which I know how they do but brain dead today, and arguments on if and how a grounding probe may affect it. If I remember right for the GFI to trip there has to be a drastic flow to ground from the amps being used, but if something is just "leaking" low amps, and you feel the "tingle" nothing has changed on amp flow, so it may not, I will and hope to be corrected on this if I am wrong.

It takes 4 Milli Amps to trip a GFCI Receptacle. If you are going to place pumps and heaters in your tank or sump it is required to have them on a GFCI Breaker or Receptacle. And please test if not weekly, monthly because some fail in the On position. And nothing is worse than thinking your protected and your not.
