I was just thinking about how bad I need a 1262 instead of my Quiet One 4000...

How loud is it in comparison to whatever you're using right now?

My light fans are louder than my 1262! In fact the pump is barely audible.

that's an excellent pump it'll move a lot of water too......great price !!!!

mine is dead silent unless your right against the sump then you hear just a very faint hum.....mine is feeding my skimmer and the recirculating pumps air intake is much louder than the 1262
