egg crate to cover tank/light question

ok im looking into getting a goby for the first addition to my tank ive read they like to jump so im thinking of covering the tank with this plastic crate thats like 1/4 of an in ch holes im sure that will keep them in but what im wondering is how will this affect my light? i have 4 96 watt power compacts and 3 150 hiq its like 6 inches above the top..will this be ok? i just dont want it to defuse the light too much right now i have no corals in there just cycled the tank but im lookin ahaed to try in prevent problems

typical egg crate will not affect your lighting at all

Good chance the goby will get through. Check out BRS for their screening.

I made a screen out of window framing and gutter guard. It does block some light but not enough to upset anything.
