if you have a low calcium demand and you dose kalk daily or every couple days will calcium keep climbing to levels too extreme?

Depends on how much you dose. The idea would be to dose and continually test until you have it dialed in and stabilized.

I'm sure Boomer will show up and set us straight about CA raising to dangerous levels, but my experience has been that the situation you're describing results in an ionic imbalance, marked by a low alkalinity problem.

And I'd rather have low CA than low alk.
