Hey has anyone came across a puffer that just quit ? It used to be a chowhound, its 3yrs old, good color and still active. Comments?

It's not (surprisingly) uncommon for Puffers to stop eating. No one has any definitive answers.
Maintain water quality, check for any source of stress (leaking voltage, etc.) and entice with favorite foods. They sometimes go on self-imposed hunger strikes as far as the hobby knows, then suddenly begin to eat again.
