Hmm, I have been wondering if I should swap my Drinking water RO system. I have 2 carbon filters, but no DI. Could I just add a DI to a non-DI unit? I do like the clear canisters though, its nice to see how bad the filters look.

You don't want DI resin on drinking water, it makes it taste funny :/

Yeah, I did some reading. Lower TDS if I added that on. But more than a year with of making own water and everything seems ok without DI.

You can add DI to your drinking water system and use a tee for a second output, 1 output left just the way it is for drinking water and a second output going through the DI for aquarium water. There are studies that say drinking RODI is bad for you, but the 0 TDS is great for your aquarium.
