DIY canopy ideas

I have a 30 Gallon tank that is about 30"long x 12"wide x 18-20" deep. I'm estimating the depth because I've yet to actually measure it. I have ordered a Photon 24 from reefbreeders.com and will need to build a canopy for it. I'm looking for ideas on how to have the canopy open for feeding and simple upkeep. The LED light fixture will be hanging from the inside top of the canopy. What have people done with hanging LEDs inside their canopy but still have easy tank access?? Thanks!

If you can do it, the best solution is to suspend the fixture on cables or chains from the ceiling or other supports. This allows you to easily adjust the height of the fixture over the tank. Easy to raise it up to work on things. If you do that any canopy is strictly decorative.
