differance in par

does anyone know the par value for a 54 watt t5 ho actinic vs a 96 watt pc actinic at 24 inch /depth

Some factors would depend on the bulb you are considering running. It may also be hard to find PAR values for actinic bulbs since that spectrum is the hardest to penetrate seawater. From what I know actinic bulbs are use to supplement color, so people are not to worried about usable par values.

PC's and T5's are typically good to about 18" or so. Deeper than that and they lack intensity. Lighting experts deem the PC and T5 as virtually the same light source. However, T5's can be mounted with individual reflectors, maximizing the light output.
