Our VHO lights are not coming on. At first I thought it was my outlet timer. Over the past week when the tank was dark I fiddled with the timer and the lights came back on. So I bought a new timer.
Now they are just plain out. Here is what I have tried:
Plugged the lights directly into the wall.
Tested the outlet and confirmed it has juice.
Cleaned and re-twisted the connections between the power cord going into the wall and the wires going to my ballast.
Unplugged and re-plugged the wide plug that connects directly into the ballast.
Confirmed that the ballast fuze IS NOT blown.
Disconnected and the reseated each of the VHO lamps.
Some of you may recall I just sent the ballast back for repair at Champion Lighting after I changed out a lamp while connected and blew the ballast. They sent back the same ballast, repaired. Now the ballast is older than the warranty - but I will give them a call.
Other ideas?
