OK, so I have a ALS predator 2 downdraft skimmer with gate valve and run it external to the sump. I currently run this skimmer with a mag12. What I am thinking is:
1. Run this using a sedra 5000/9000 or will the back pressure kill the air intake for the needlewheel to work well? (say $120)
2. Getting a becket injector/keeping mag12? ($30)
3. Perhaps a sedra recirc can work, anyone have exp with making a recirc on an externally used skimmer? ($150?)
Thanks for any suggestions, I am kinda stuck here on what would be best for a decent upgrade...
