Coral Question

My wife ran up to the LFS a few days ago to get some water for my tank. She came back with the water and a coral that she tought was neat. I have no idea what it is so haven't been able to research it. I find some that are close but not sure. It's yellow and brown and has fingers come up from the base. I also wanted to see if there is anyway to glue this down, my snails and waterflow keep knocking it off the rock. Heres a pic though it's not that good.

It looks like a type of leather coral, probably a finger coral. When it expands, get another pic so we can see its polyps.

You can not 'glue' most soft corals because they will slime off within a day or two. For your large piece, I would suggest placing it gently between two rocks. It will take a week or two for it to fully attach.

Also, the photo shows a dark color; make sure that is not degrading flesh or algae growing on it. Keep good flow in your tank and make sure the water parameters are good.
