Cleaning Barrells

I just bought 2 plastic barrells. I want to put my RO water in one and my salt mixed water in the other. They originally contained citrus juices. How can I go about cleaning the interiors safely?

there food barrels ,what ive done is rinse real well then let vinegar sit for a while mixed with water,rinse with water till smell of vinegar is gone,if it still smells like juice do vinegar again and so on.

I like using vinegar for cleaning also.
