Cleaner shrimp

If I remember correctly, between two to four years... though that's in the ocean... in our reefs I'd put that closer to the bottom end.

The first cleaner shrimp I had lasted about 22 months, and I imagine that it was about three months old when I got it (it wasn't a 'dinky' one).

Well, I suppose that is the answer I was hoping not to hear and he is 2 years old. He is missing and has been gone for about 1 week. He has gone incognito before when he molts, but that is only for 2-3 days tops. I am sad as he was just the best. :tears:

Thanks for the info.

Sorry to hear that. :(

When mine died, it was just sitting there on the rock swaying back and forth (the Lysmata dance, I call it) and suddenly it just fell face-first into the sand... it was kind of a bummer.

At least you know that it lived as full of a life as it could in captivity... that might be some sort of condolence. :(
