Can anyone identify this?

I have a newly established nano reef and something is growing on one of my rocks that I can't identify. It is neon green and looks like a sprout. It is about 1/4 inch and does not move or look like a duster. It is skinny. I'll try to post a picture from home. It doesn't look like my phone will let me.
