Calcium Levels

I am having a problem with my calcium level. It has been around 585 for two weeks. I haven't dosed any calcium since I discovered it was high but I thought after a few weeks it would drop. Guess not...Is this a longer process if left to naturally happen or should it be chemically adjusted with an additive? All my other parameters seem fine:

Salinity 1.021
Calcium 585 (ouch)
Alkalinity 4.0
Phosphate 0.2
Iodine .02
Nitrate 10
Nitrite 0
Ph 8.1
Ammonia 0

Any ideas welcome!!!

OMG not the charts again!

Keep changing water ;)

Charts from the madman

<---- Good in

Easier right? ;)

Charts??? I don't want to stress out livestock anymore than they have been...what about bicarbonate??? Worries me due to unknown dosing and unpredictable effects. Will this come down naturally???

Thanks Mike

Check the Ca level in your newly made salt water. If it is still high, check your Ca test kit against your LFS or another reefers'.

What salt brand do you use? Some synthetic salts are high in Ca.

Also, be careful dosing Ca and buffers. I only use kalkwasser for evaporated top offs.... and sometimes use a tad of buffer to my newly made salt water to increase the alkalinity. I use oceanic salt so its Ca is high and its alk is a bit low.
