Calc reactor in sump?

Anybody see any problems with placing my calcium reactor- its a marine life aquatics cr-500- directly in the sump. This would save room under the stand. It uses an Eheim 1250 submersible pump so that wont be an issue..

I just bought a stoneyreef kalk reactor and he said that submerging it in the sump wouldn't be a problem.

How's the new tank coming along?
