Blue leg hermit crab

I have a blue legged hermit in my tank that is now using a turbo snail shell and i can't find my turbo snail. Could the hermit have killed it?

Sounds like the snail got shell jacked.

Edit: If there aren't spare shells for hermits they will shell jack CUC. Also of course if they are hungry or just bored.
