Best reactor for GFO

Hi all,
Looking to hear your experience with GFO reactors. I'm removing my bio pellets as I'm just not certain they fit my tank cause I don't know if they are working or how good they are working (read stripping out more if the good stuff).

I have a simple lifereef down flow canister but I don't feel it maximizes the Gfo exposure especially considering I keep it in a bag. If I leave it loose, the water hits it and it grinds up.

So what kind of reactor is out there that pushes a gentle flow through the Gfo?

Thanks!

When I used to use GFO, I used a 'Phosban' reactor. Don't recall who makes them - Two Little Fishies or something. LOL Comes with a gate valve where you can adjust the flow. Worked like it was supposed to. These are up-flow models which is supposed to create some sort of advantage. Never got into it all that much because it didn't work for me. I ended up loading mine up with carbon which DID work well. Problem was I didn't like having to clean the dang thing all the time.
