I currently use this BBS Hatcher for my Baby Seahorses and love it. I have to feed the BBS within 24hrs of hatching which are very tiny for the SHs. What size is your DT?

Most fish will easily survive without feeding, if you go away for a week. Especialy something like a Manderin, which is likely getting a lot of it's diet out of the pod production of your reef system, rather than what your feeding it.

As for brine shrimp hatchers, such as your are looking at, I never found them to work very well. However, they may have some value if your using it while on vacation.

The only trouble is that all the shrimp will hatch in 18 - 36 hours, and once they hatch that's it. They either make it into the main tank and get eaten, or they die from lack of food in the hatcher.

Bottom line is your fish will get a treat 2 - 3 days in, but that's about it.
