Aquamaxx HOB 1 Skimmer- Where to cut?

Hey all,

I've purchased an Aquamaxx HOB 1 Skimmer for my JBJ 28 Nanocube.. the thing I need help with is cutting some of the tubing to make it fit properly in my JBJ.. the lid won't open properly since the tubing is blocking it. I don't want to risk cutting the wrong tubing to allow for the lid to open properly.. I think I know which one to cut, but I want to confirm.

Can someone tell me which tubes to cut?

In looking at the manufacturers online information, it looks like the only tube you could cut is the air tube. This seems to connect the pump to the silencer. It doesn't seem to need any cutting as far as the skimmer goes.

I'd think twice before I cut it. Often things like this need to be of a specific length to prevent kinking.

It may help if you could post some pictures showing exactly where your problem is. If that isn;t possible make sure you can easily get a replacement tube for anything you plan to cut.
