I was using Red Sea, but I have a problem weighing out the amount correctly so I've been using pre-salted RO. TBH, since using the pre-salted, the algae has receeded slighty. I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it!
Well then the pre mix your getting just isnt a good mix then. The only way to lower CA is to do nothin and it will lower itself. But if the new water has too much then it will never lower.
For the alk you can use seachems reef builder to increase the Alk. If you want to keep using the pre mix you will also need to clean your pumps more often.
I gave the pumps a clean tonight after I saw your post! They were pretty gummed up. I'll test the CA levels in the pre-mix as well and see how that goes
