A piece of alege moving closer and closer to my flower pot coral!!!

hey guys,
I have this block of brown alege it started at the bottom of my rock now it's 3/4 of the way up to the top and looks like it is going to attack my coral. it kinda looks like cryno.(also i can't seem to get it off i tried my turkey baster, then a knife it dose not come off.verhere:

It's not Cyano if it doesn't come off easily.
