Greta almost two years old in her Mother's Octopus bathing suit from 35 years ago.
I can put this on here because it has an octopus on it so it is really an invertabrate post.
She calls it "Oppi" just as her Mom did. (I guess she moved her arm for the picture, but I don't know where she moved it to.)

The guy stayed like that for almost 4 months until I had to relocate it to another tank and I took his...decoration. I glued those corals to the glass. Next day the guy have it over him ....LOL

I know quite a few of these around town that do not get hand fed, and have done great for years feeding off the water column.

I'm not saying or suggesting thats right for everyone, of course.
It just seemed odd when I read the LA description.

In the wild they r usually found hanging upside down in the entry to cave ceilings, ledges, etc.. receiving lil to no light and very minimal "food" per se maybe through water swirling in the caves or whatever is burrowed out from the rock face by burrowing creatures. That said I do think they need some feeding or they tend to go down in captivity.
