46 gal. bowfront canopy

Hey everyone
I'm Mike and decided it's time
Time to start a thread and what better time while I'm making my canopy

Disregard everything in the tank
It's empty for now

i forgot to take pics while i was makin the tank but i got some current pics
so far i've almost everything done
the sides front top lid are done
i installed 2 LED fans today and the next thing to do is install the lights which i cant do just yet until i order my reflectors
ill post up some more pics of what it looks like right after this post

Nice work! A 46 bow is a great little tank sizer, but so difficult to light or find a canopy for.

I'll bet some people will want to talk to you...

lighting shouldnt be too bad
right now im planning on a 150w hqi 10k 2x32w pc actinics and 1 vho 96w actinic

the 32w pc's were from my 7gal bowfront so i figure might as well use them up and they also fit perfectly on both sides of the hqi

right now i have the hqi's and pc's but still need that reflector before i can start putting anything in there

ok its been a few days and ive done a lot to the canopy
so far ive painted it black to match the stand and installed the led lighting and fans heres a few pics

now im waiting for my reflector to come in to install my lights and maybe...just maybe finish this project
its been taking WAY too long

Hope your getting the dimpled reflector for that shimmering look you get in the natural reef!

well....
the reflector for the hqi will be rippled but the reflector for the flourescents arent
theyre just a polished aluminum reflector
right now im planning on 2x3' vhos and 2x15" pcs and 1 hqi

well thats just great
i finally received my reflector and ballast for the vho
the reflector BARELY fits but it fits
the ballast i can wire up no problem
the size of the 36" vho's with end caps are 36.5"
the inside length of the canopy is 36.25"
as you can see im having a little trouble
any suggestions?
