1/15 chiller rsm250

Hello

Funds are a little tight so i could not spend the extra cash for the 1/10
I found a used 1/15 current usa chiller
And wanted to know if it would be a waste of time to even try this out on my rsm250

As of now it avg around 98f out side and the tank is running around 82-83

I would like to get it down to at least 79-80

Would this be to much for this chiller to handle

Also what type of pump should i use
Rated for 300-600GPH

I don't see why you could not use it, you should be able to drop your temp at least 5 degrees with it. It will probably work over-time till you get your temp to where you want it but so what. As for the pump, Decide if your gonna use it in tank or external and just check the flow rating before you buy. There are many pumps like Quiet One, Rio and Eheim...

RedSea recommend at least 1/6 chiller but my 1/10 chiller seems to work fine without being over worked. The only thing, as redseareefer says, it will probably work overtime and be on a lot.
