Sad Day

Hi everyone.

Sad Day for me, I have a 7ft tank connected to a 4ft sump and has been in operation for two years. I have an Alkatronic and Dosetronic all working well. Parameters are good. Noticed in the Marine shop a beautiful 7" Regal Tang that someone couldn't keep in their tank as it had out grown it. I bought it and it has been very happy in my mixed Reef for just over a week. This morning feed them as per normal, all good then within 1-2 hours I come into to see the regal dead on the sand bed, wasn't sick, was eating well, swam through the tank fine then just up and died. Any thoughts? water parameters all good. His fines were sticking straight out as if he had been electrocuted but all other fish are fine. Very sad today.

I'm assuming the fish wasn't quarantined; it went straight from LFS into your display. I would keep a close eye on all your other fish for signs of disease (e.g. white dots, heavy breathing, scratching, swimming into the flow of a powerhead).
