Mandarin dragonets (also called mandarin gobies) are peaceful, slow moving fish, and are among the most colorful fish found on the reef. Their food consists of copepods and other "bugs" found within the rockwork. As such, in order to thrive in an aquarium they require large amounts of live rock with a self-sustaining population of their prey. A refugium with a protected population of pods is a great help.
