I see that it's a peaceful fish but, reef compatible with caution.
How does yours do?
I read they will eat snails and other crustations.

Well I will be watching the little turkey, I got a shipment of hermits and snails today. And low and behold I looked and the hog fish came up and plucked a new hermit right from its shell... The hogfish carried the hermit around for about 10-15 seconds and spit it out.... I will try to catch him and return him if he doesnt stop... I really liked him..

nice hogfish, it does look alot like my yellow wrasse, the spots are just in different places, mine's are on the dorsal fin and the wrasse is a bit skinnier, for anyone that was wondering. anyway, great beautiful reef, i hope to be there someday. Keep it up :)
