Want to share two things about my new RSM 250 that I am very happy with

1. It is much more quite than my 130D

2. The skimmer works quite well - getting nice stinky skimmate

Ahh, rather safe than sorry. Looking to see how the temp works for you. Running stable enough to not need the chiller?

Tom - with how we keep the room ambient temp it has been holding right at 82... which works for me

so far so good !

Just found your new tank post .. how exciting that you upgraded :) It was the best thing I did also and there is so much more you can add and do to a bigger tank .. only downside is the extra expense of it all.. but that is part and parcel of the reefing game.. good luck with the 250 :)

its pretty easy if your patient.i only have to adjust mine after feeding and water changes.other than that,it stays pretty steady.

like my RSM 130D surface skimmer gate level height & the tanks water level (checked on the water level window) seems to be the keys for me so far

hmmm does look feathery... but looks just like what I had when I started my 130D... at least I hope so... it's one day old.
