Paraellel.

That way if you loose one the other still runs. Series if you loose the first in the line the 2nd goes out.

if you series the fans, both fans will be at 1/3-1/2 full speed. recommended for extreme flow fans on smaller tanks

parallel would be the way to go.

Cool,

I couldn't remember if wiring series or parallel would effct the speed. Thanks for the help

Got two of the four wired in series. I can't tell which cord is which off the fan. Does that matter? They are both black. So i could be wiring it through each fan backwards. but since they are AC it shouldn't matter right?

if these fans are 120v fans then you will blow them up shortly. in series the voltage divides depending on the resisteance of the fans. most a/c fans are meant to be run at 120v which would mean they need to be in parallel. hope this helps

I meant I wired them parallel. Sorry got mixed up. The fans are definately wired parallel. I don't know why I wrote series.
