I picked up a pair of Ocellatus last friday the 13th.
Here is the Broodstock.
Scoots: Female
Size: 2"
Age: Unknown.
Boogie: Male
Size: 1 3/4"
Age: Unknown
Documented spawning took place four days after introduction on 11-14-09 9:30 pm
Eggs:
I was concerned about the rate of development compared to my work with Mandarins. With Mandarins 12-14 hours post spawn they would be in the pro-larvae stage.
Here is a pic of Ocellatus egg 17 hours post spawn. At first I attributed the slow development to lower temps.
