HELP! Stars

I found this star in my tank. Are they helpful or harmless? Should I get rid of them? If so, how?

That is an asterina star. They are generally considered a nuisance because they tend to overrun everything and will eat zoas. They are best removed before they become a problem.

Get a bumblebee shrimp or harlequin shrimp if you have a bunch, they’ll keep them, and any other starfish unfortunately, in check. That’s what they eat!!
