Propagation

Ok folks,

I am starting a prop system in the UK and am interested in finding out what I can do to get maximum growth from propagated corals. Looking to start off with Zoos and Ricordae first.

Suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Steve

Zoanthids love lots of light and lots of water flow, also give them room to spread to. The ricordia will do best in less water flow but can live with low or high lighting unlike most other shrooms. I've had them do great under both vho only and vho/halides.

if you can a hold of it over there, try to find Anthony Calfo's "Book of Coral Propagation Vol. 1". most informative book you could ever want as a beginning propagator of corals.

if not, you may be able to order from the publishing site. www.readingtrees.com

Folks,

thanks very much for all your replies really appreciate them.
Thanks for the welcome too.

I will keep you posted on how things go.

Funny saw that book on a trip to Minneapolis last year and nearly bought it. However got sidetracked and could not find another in Pittsburg.

Oh well will talk to Midlans Reef.

Thanks again to all
Steve
