please help i have had this tank for about 2 years its a 46 bow front and i have a 10 gallon fuge. i shut the tank down about 6 months ago because I lost my blue spot and was just going to get out of the hobby but just couldn't. so i recycled the tank after having it sit put new water in and let it cycle everything looked good until last night my nitrates spiked to 160ppm and they were .5 to 10...what happened? i have retested and had the lfs test same results. could it be i have a canister filter w/ ceramic disc? the discs were rinsed when i recycled the tank. should i just do away with them all togther?
