    I was 5. Obviously my dad helped A LOT until I was able to do everything on my own. He was hard on me about my tanks. If they didn't look good or livestock wasn't healthy, he told me I would lose them.

    What I find a bit scary is not only the age of when we started, but how long some of us have been doing this hobby. I know @Paul B is a little older than me and has been in the hobby longer. Just counting how long the two of us have had SW systems, it is over a century, and there are quite a few other members here that also have many decades reef keeping.
