Help needed w/ Hippo. Erectus babies!

I am a preschool teacher who has kept marine tanks off and on for many years. In Sept. I set up a 50 gal. seahorse tank for my class. I currently have 2 fmales and 1 male Hippo. Erectus that are about 8 mo. old.

Day b4 yesterday the male had 10 babies! My entire class was there and witnesses the births and babies! They floated around on the top of tank and eventually drifted into live rock and plants.

I would love for the kids to be able to see even one grow up, but have had a really hard time finding info. on what to do to help them along. Or... maybe this is a lost cause?? Also, I think I saw the pair mate again the same day the babies were born!? Is this very likely? Thanks to anyone who can give me some ideas!

Thanks you so much! All the info you gave me was great! I will be ready when the next batch is born, that's for sure. Thanks again!
