Re: god filter?

This is an ideal filter for a FO tank and can be converted into a refugium/sump down the road if you decide to go reef.

You REALLY need to edit your title...:)

I think you'll find that very few people run wet-dry filters for their reef tanks. While bio-balls are very efficient biological filters, that also makes them very efficient nitrate producers...not something you really want in a reef tank.
Wet-dry's (IMO) are OK for fresh water tanks and even saltwater Fish-Only tanks, but not for reef tanks.

The vast majority of reef tanks are run with a LOT of quality live rock, (1-2 lbs/gallon) and an efficient protein skimmer. There are of course, exceptions to that, as well as additions, such as equipment sumps with a variety of filter media like filter socks, phosphate reactors, calcium and kalk reactors, etc., but the main biological filtration is carried out in the live rock itself. (with help in many cases, from a deep sand bed that is over 4" deep)

is your tank already drilled? if it is i think you should just get a old tank and fill it with LR. this will set you up for a reef system when you're ready. if your tank isnt drilled, can it be drilled?
