Cotton like algae between my Zoas

On one section of my zoas, there's cotton-like algae. I think its hurting my zoa's as it's thinning out and not growing like my other zoas

I can't take the zoas out since it grew over my rocks and its too big to remove to dip. I tried ripping the algae off with tweezers, but it's a bit messy.

Any suggestions? My crabs, snails and emerald crab are not doing their jobs

without a pic it would be very hard to see what your talking about and help. If you can post a pic.

any chance the zoas you have came in on a plug that you placed between the rocks?
Otherwise fungal or Bacterial.... You can get some Myrcyan 2 used in freshwater and take a sliver from a tab abd just place near the stuff.
I do this when I cut/frag my yellow leather fiji coral. Keeps from getting any bacterial problems.
