Algae?

I notice when I use more of the white spectrum the algae seems to grow faster. So I tend to adjust my lights more on the bluer side of the spectrum, like 15k. Also algae is more noticecable when I use more of white? Am I thinking this wrong? thanks

You're right. Algae grow better under a certain range of the light spectrum. I also noticed that if I leave my blue leds on for a couple of days they barely grow or not at all.
Algae won't grow more on white things than others, you just see them more on white. Same as a cat taking a dump on your nice white porch stones. Now if you would have brown or black stones, you would barely notice it :)

Yeah it's more highlighted under white lights. I never notice the cyano when I was using t5s, now that I'm using led and I turned on just the white, cyano is very visible.
