My lighting is all double ended AB bulbs, a single 150W 20K in the middle and two 250W 10Ks. It is crisp white color overall, and the lighter colored tips of SPS look purple. I like NOT having big long akward PC bulbs. Especially now that I dont have to whipe them all the time from running...

that is how my lights are setup now alos, does wonders for the tank temp, but I have a skirt around the top of the tank (I just took the lid off my hood) I could mount VHOs on the side of it a skirt would also help to keep more light in the tank, at least shield your eyes from the lights

You'll want a pump that will get you close to 800gph after head pressure but not over for obvious reasons :D Something rated for around 1000gph +/-100gph? After a few feet of head pressure and some elbows it should be gtg. Unless you have something crazy setup like the sump in your basement...
