    No, they take a tweezer and a good tug to pull free... here are 2 i removed.

    My tank is 2+years old, all perameters are spot on...but one of my mushroom coral seems to be getting eaten but this wierd crystal hard things (crystal spikes)... anyone know what this might be...i will try to attach pics.
