Ive read the instructions to mix the red sea kh powder, I want to mix 1 litre mixes so I add 100g to 1 litre of water, this gives me a third less strength than the liquid bottle, so rather than dosing 3 times the amount, can I just mix up 300g per litre to give me the same strength as the bottled stuff? or will it cause problems mixing that amount in 1 litre of water?

This is a maybe. There are a few different chemicals that can be used to boost kh, It is possible the powder and liquid are using different methods. It is also possible that the higher strength mixture will tend to precipitate out of solution. You can do a simple test though. Make a test sample at 3x and another one at 5x or 6x and put them in containers similar to what your going to use for dosing. Wait a week or two and see if anything comes out of solution. If nothing happens, your good to go. If you see any precipitate, use the mixture at 1x and dose more. BTW, it's best to use ro/di water to mix additives.
