Thanks buddy I am still trying to figure exact type. I think it's a carpenters. Was hard to tell in the store as the shipment was big and lots of bags and confusion. The colour should improve as it settels more. Eating well though

Yes, that is a Paracheilinus carpenteri, aka flasher carpenter wrasse.

But, keep an eye on it to see if it grows any distinct tail shape or additional long dorsal spines. Apparently these flasher wrasses create many different hybrids. Here are two interesting articles. Check out the video in the first one, such gorgeous fish!

Very interesting read that some of the hybrids look amazing so they do. I must say this fish has allot of personality already. Feeding like a pig and up to the glass when I come close to the tank. I was devasted this morning as I seen it lying on the bottom in the corner of the tank. I thought it was dead. But no as soon as I went to scoop with the net it took off like a rocket
