While I'm sure PaulB knows this, others may not. Manatee are noted for eating a lot of invasive plants, such as water hyacinth. So in a way they are a big part of the Florida clean up crew.

Yes I know that and Florida would have more of them but it is hard to get rid of the plastic bags they come in. :eek:

Too bad they can't eat the algae that grows on their back
