Sump cleaning?

i need to clean my overflows.... Give me some tips for 28" high overflows!!!!

Get a 5 or 6' long vinyl siphon hose and siphon out all the ditritus onto a bucket. There isn't much water in an overflow so you won't have much time. You have to make sure you're getting out the gunk in the bottom as it is siphoning (not just water).

pull the durso out, and then turn off the pump...all gunk is stirred, then sucked into the sump sock~
