scallop

I recently bought some new LPS corals and while floating the bags I noticed a tiny white scallop snapping around in the bottom of the bag. It was about the size of pencil eraser. I just threw him in the tank and haven't saw him since. I'm not concerned that he may cause trouble, just wondering if these are common? I've never saw a tiny solid white one before.

I wish now I would have gotten a picture of him. He's probably going to live in the tank for years, then turn into some fish eating monster. :tears:

In all reality, he'll probably die. From what little knowledge I have about scallops, they constantly filter plankton from the water. Not a very hardy tank inhabitant.
