I've sinced changed my thoughts on this. Well since getting my RO/DI unit. I let it sit in the buckets with a pump in there circulating the water around for a good 4 -5 hours.. then... it gets dropped in :)

Usually overnight, although I have done it sooner.

And I always have to use a heater! Do you know how cold glacier water is?

"Never drink while reefing." I'll try to remember that. :D

i let mine sit in a 5 USG bucket with a small PH for between 30-45 min., then i will "drip" the water in the tank with airline tubing. takes about 30 minutes, and my fish seem to love me so far. its only a 20L, so i dont like to dump water in, as it may cause a "tidal wave". used to use a heater and let it sit overnight, but my heater broke unfortunately.

Guess I am a bad person.

Once every 2-3 months I'll do a water change.....

I dump it into the tank as soon as its up to temp....

and I use tap water.

Every thing still lives though! :turntable

I find its best ot let it sit at least 24 hours and if making a large quantity always stir ir before you use it.If you don't have time to let it sit for a whole day I recommend checking your tank salinity the next day after adding it as you might get a spike.
