I use API & Salifert for most and lamotte for the oxygen.
I use API for 99% of my testing with Salifert being the back up if there are any doubts. API has been for me accurate and very simple to use.

with everything going on with salifert, I cannot recomend them with a clear conscience....go with elos or la motte

API: ammonia, nitrite, nitrAte, calcium, alkalinity, copper
Salifert: nitrAte, calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, Iodide, copper
Lamotte; oxygen

I test twice daily on my hospital/QT for ammonia, nitrite, nitrAte and copper.
I test weekly on my hospital/QT for alkalinity.
I test my REEF biweekly for nitrAte, magnesium, calcium, alkalinity, Iodide.
Every 3-6 months or when I change flow I test my REEF for dissolved oxygen.

I am planning on getting a strontium (salifert) kit soon.

I supplement-- kalkwasser, sodium carbonate, iodine (just started recently), magnesium, strontium.
